An Open Letter To
Students and Parents:

To students, parents, and guardians of the Tutor Doctor community

2020 saw the world thrust into a state of upheaval and uncertainty. Students, teachers, and families pivoted to online education options and parents/guardians have done an incredible job of supporting their students’ education while continuing to juggle work and other duties. Everyone is doing their part to limit the spread of COVID-19, by social distancing, wearing masks, and even forgoing celebrations with their extended family and friends. We thank you for your commitment to keeping your communities safe during these unprecedented times!

As we look to 2021, we hope it will be a time of calm and renewal, but much remains uncertain. We anticipate that the educational landscape will continue to be a place of both change and innovation as the pandemic continues to unfold. Educators are working harder than ever to ensure students are able to continue their education, at the highest level of quality, in a safe learning environment. At Tutor Doctor, the health and safety of our students and tutors is our top priority. Overseeing a network of over 94,000 tutors, I get to see first hand how our education consultants and tutors are collaborating with students, families, and teachers to provide the best possible education in a learning environment that keeps everyone safe and helps to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Currently, Tutor Doctor is offering online tutoring to all families and in-person tutoring in those areas where it has been deemed safe to do so. Online learning is an enriching and valuable educational option for many students. In the online space, the tutor must connect with their student, tailor their tutoring program and approach to the needs of their student, and continuously provide guidance and the development of learning skills.

We have worked hard to deliver exceptional online tutoring to our students and their families. Just like our in-person tutoring experience, students are matched with the right tutor based on their needs, and given a tailored learning plan suited just for them. No matter the environment, our mission to guide students through their educational journey, helping them succeed in academics, and in life, will always be our driving force.

I urge everyone to continue practicing safety measures to keep yourselves and your communities safe. We are hopeful that 2021 will bring an end to the pandemic and the world will once again return to a sense of normalcy. Until that happens, our tutoring network is here to provide consistent support to your children in achieving their academic goals, no matter what challenges the world faces next.

Warmly,

Frank Milner

President of Tutor Doctor
