Hop along for the scariest bus ride of your life! The Spooky Wheels on the Bus is a wonderful book with tons of amazing illustrations and catchy rhymes. The Halloween theme keeps kids entertained while they learn to count. The Spooky Wheels uses rhythmic phrases (“Ten goofy ghosts say boo-oo-oo”) that are a blast to read aloud!

Spooky Pookie by Sandra Boynton

Pookie is an adorable little pig who is undecided about one thing – what costume to wear for Halloween! Little Pookie considers multiple costumes, from a funny clown outfit to a pumpkin mask. What does Little Pookie finally decide to dress up as for Halloween? Little kids will love the answer, and Spooky Pookie is one of our Halloween favorites. It’s also a great option if you are still considering costume ideas!

Little Blue Truck’s Halloween: A Halloween Book for Kids by Alice Schertle

This interactive storybook follows an adorable Little Blue Truck on an adventure to pick up all his animal friends for a Halloween costume party! The illustrations in this book are fantastic, and we particularly love the paper flaps that kids can lift to reveal the Little Blue Truck’s animal friends. If your child prefers “hands-on” storybooks, Little Blue Truck is the Halloween book for them!
